Down sizers Claire and Gary Egan are looking forward to building their new home at Capricorn Yanchep Beach Estate in Yanchep and enjoying a debt free lifestyle.
Claire said that the couple had lived in the coastal suburb of Hillarys for the past 21 years and decided that now was the time to down size to a smaller coastal home.
“Gary and I have really loved living on the coast but we believed our two storey home and large block in Hillarys would not serve our longer term personal needs as we got older.
“So we recently sold our home in Hillarys and after much searching we decided to buy smaller lot at Capricorn Beach Estate in Yanchep. Currently, we are renting in Sinagra while our new purpose-built home is being constructed.
“Both Gary and I are still very active and enjoy the outdoors so living beside the beach was a priority. We looked at a number of new estates along the coast but decided on Capricorn Yanchep because it was an established community like Hillarys with existing facilities such as shops, parks etc.
“So many of the new estates we looked at lacked the social infrastructure we wanted and we were drawn to Yanchep because it had an existing strong sense of community with lots of trees and greenery instead of lots of sand!
“Yanchep is also within easy driving distance to Wangara where Gary works and also the major regional shopping precinct of Joondalup. So our new home will be close to everything we need.
“After selling our home in Hillarys and building our new home at Yanchep Capricorn we will be debt free due to the very competitive pricing of lots at the Estate. This was a major consideration in deciding to down size and we wanted to be debt free.
“Downsizing to Yanchep Capricorn will now give us the financial freedom to enjoy a more pleasurable life without the worry of finding the additional income to fund holidays and other things.”
