Work to redevelop the foreshore at the former Club Capricorn Resort site in Yanchep is set to start this month.

Capricorn Beach estate developers plan to start construction in late May after recently receiving final development approval for civil works, and will close the driveway access until late 2022.

The resort closed in 2015 and was demolished to allow future residential development.

Project director Jarrod Rendell said the foreshore development would “bring a new lease of life” to a popular beach that was “a favourite spot of the Yanchep locals”.

Mr Rendell said 12ha of beachfront land would be transformed with parklands, tourism resort, cafes and restaurants, and a variety of housing.

“Capricorn Beach Foreshore will feature beautiful landscaped parklands, several children’s play areas, a universal access path to the beach, as well as having the closest carpark to the beach along the northern corridor,” he said.
