Work to redevelop the foreshore at the former Club Capricorn Resort site in Yanchep is set to start this month.
Capricorn Beach estate developers plan to start construction in late May after recently receiving final development approval for civil works, and will close the driveway access until late 2022.
The resort closed in 2015 and was demolished to allow future residential development.
Project director Jarrod Rendell said the foreshore development would βbring a new lease of lifeβ to a popular beach that was βa favourite spot of the Yanchep localsβ.
Mr Rendell said 12ha of beachfront land would be transformed with parklands, tourism resort, cafes and restaurants, and a variety of housing.
βCapricorn Beach Foreshore will feature beautiful landscaped parklands, several childrenβs play areas, a universal access path to the beach, as well as having the closest carpark to the beach along the northern corridor,β he said.
