Warm weather, longer days, ice cream… there’s plenty to love about summer in Perth! With holidays just around the corner, there’s plenty to do and see around Capricorn Yanchep. We’ve compiled our top list of events to get the whole family excited about Christmas.

 

Carols in the Park: Dec 9

Nothing brings the community together quite like a singalong! Come on down to Charnwood Park for a night packed full of local performances. Everyone’s welcome to join this family-friendly event, which will even include a surprise appearance by a certain jolly man in red. You won’t need to worry about packing dinner either, as there will be a sausage sizzle and hamburgers available at the event with all proceeds going back into local community groups.

Free Christmas Outdoor Movie: Dec 15

Come and watch a film under the stars, thanks to Compass Early Learning Centre’s free outdoor movie night! Just in time for the big day, there will be a screening of the hilarious Christmas classic ‘Elf’ at True Block North in Merriwa. Everyone is welcome to start arriving from 6pm, with the movie starting at 7pm.

Local coffee shop, 115 Collective, will also be serving some tasty festive treats to munch during the movie.

Christmas Festival: Dec 17

Celebrate the festive season with the entire community at The Marina Mindarie. There’ll be street food stalls lining the boardwalk with lots of tasty treats for all you sweet-tooths out there to take home. You can also finish your Christmas shopping, with local products for sale at over 30 different stalls. Find everything from plants and jewellery, to soaps and art.

Throughout the day, there will be live entertainment, bouncy castles, free activities, an appearance from Santa and heaps more. For more information call 08 9305 9305.
